The 7-fold Spirit of God is described in Isaiah 11:1-3
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
If you want to be effective at all in your counseling ministry you must call upon the 7-fold spirit of God. Yes, you need to have wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, etc. as a minister. BUT – inviting the 7-fold Spirit of God to rest and work on the inside of the hearts and minds of those you are helping is where it’s most important. Someone who’s been through terrible trauma needs the Spirit of might to be able to confront and go to places that aren’t comfortable. They need understanding of how their mind works and sexuality was created so they can begin a restorative journey with Jesus. They need the fear of the Lord to be able to walk away from addictions and break soul ties with toxic relationships. Hurting people don’t need a Band-Aid, they need you to help them plow the soil of their life and plant things that will bare eternal fruit. That’s why we begin our sessions in prayer and during that time we will invite the Holy Spirit to come and to bring the manifestation of the 7-fold Spirit.
